North American / Canadian tour / Graspop : June 23rd, 2008

We will be touring North America, and Canada this January with a direct support slot for ROTTING CHRIST. We've waited to tour, and have passed on some other opportunities, looking for something that makes the most sense for us. ROTTING CHRIST is that tour. We're excited to finally do a proper tour in the US and Canada, to promote the latest CD, 'The Novella Reservoir', as well as the DVD release. We think fans of ROTTING CHRIST will enjoy our style of metal, and we feel it's a great fit. The musical difference between the bands has great variety for the fans. With the Graspop Metal Meeting festival in Belgium less then one week away, we are preparing for our departure to Europe. This will easily be the largest show we have had the privilege to perform at, and we're looking forward to this opportunity. With our new DVD, 'The Novella Vosselaar: Live in Belgium' coming out officially on August 5th here in the States, attendees at Graspop have the opportunity to pick up an advance copy exclusively at the Metalzone merchant booth! Also on this trip, we have the opportunity to perform with some friends, such as DRACONIAN in Zandaam, FORBIDDEN in Eindoven, and Dan Swanö and NIGHTINGALE at the Biebob in Belgium, where we recorded the DVD.

European Dates : April 5th, 2008

On July 5th, 2008 at the Biebob Club in Vosselaar, Belgium, Novembers Doom returns to perform, and this time, bringing along good friend Dan Swanö and his band Nightingale!

"We're extremely excited about this show, and are proud to give the fans in the Benelux area the opportunity to see Nightingale live. Dan has mentioned to me, he has not performed in Belgium in 17 years, last with Edge of Sanity, and he himself cannot wait to return once again!

This is going to be a huge night. We realize there are options 1 week after Graspop, with other shows in the area at the same time, but no one has a more unique opportunity for the evening, and we would suggest you buy your tickets for the show early. They might not last long for this one!"

Novembers Doom are also confirmed to perform at the legendary Dynamo club with Forbidden in Eindhoven, Netherlands on July 4th.

"Also know, we are working very hard this month to complete the DVD we filmed in November at the Biebob, and with much luck on our side, you should be able to purchase it for the first time at Graspop, and it will be available at the shows we play!"

GRASPOP METAL MEETING : February 27th, 2008

Novembers Doom will be performing at this years Graspop Metal Meeting on June 27-29, 2008 at De Boeretand in Dessel, Belgium.

It is an absolute honor to be invited to perform, as this is one of the largest music festivals in Europe (quite possibly the world.) Last years attendance was just over 120,000.

Draconian : February 14th, 2008

Novembers Doom vocalist, Paul Kuhr makes a guest appearance on the upcoming CD "Turning Season Within" from Sweden's Draconian. Recording the narrative or spoken word for 6 of the tracks makes this a very special release for any fans of Novembers Doom, and should be sure to pick up a copy, here in the United States on March 4th, through Napalm Records.

Reissues : January 25th, 2008

The End Records will reissue two early albums from Chicago's dark metal act NOVEMBERS DOOM this spring, both with new artwork, remastered and with bonus tracks. The LPs being reissued are the 1995 debut "Amid its Hallowed Mirth" and the group's 1999 sophomore effort, "Of Sculptured Ivy and Stone Flowers". Also scheduled for release in 2008 is the reissue of 2000's "The Knowing" and the band's first-ever DVD, titled "The Novella Vosselaar: Live in Belgium".

* "Amid its Hallowed Mirth" - Bonus tracks include: "Nothing Earthly Save the Thrill", "Seasons of Frost", and the complete 1990 "Scabs" demo: "Scarification", "Mammaliferous Earth", "Winter Solstice", "Crown of Thorns".

* "Of Sculptured Ivy and Stone Flowers" - Bonus tracks are recently recorded "clean" versions, which include "Serenity Remembered", "For Every Leaf That Falls", "Forever With Unopened Eye".

2008 Update : January 17th, 2008

For a small underground metal band from Chicago, we have found ourselves in unreal situations and have met people across the world who believe in us, sometimes more then we do ourselves. Carl Grillet, owner of the metal store chain "Metal Zone" in Europe has become one of the best things to happen to us. Without his hard work, and belief in the band, we wouldn't have some of the opportunities we have had, so to us, Carl is a part of the ND family. Because of him, we were again given an opportunity to travel to Europe and tour.

Returning to Europe for a second time was great, as we had the opportunity to see many old friends again. Many HUGE "Thanks" need to go to Carl and Bieke, two of the greatest people we know, our friends Holger and Vanessa who filmed both the Netherlands show, and the acoustic show for us, Thomas and Dafne Meuleman who share a love Larry and Paul have for vintage superhero toys, and Anneke Van Giersbergen and her husband Rob who were very hospitable!

Get ready Belgium... We're coming back... Sooner then you may think!

Acoustic show in Europe : October 5th, 2007

[*JUST ADDED An in store signing will take place at the Metalzone shop one block from the Biebob immediately after the show on November 10th.]

A third and final show has been added in Europe this November. This performance will be held on  November 12th at Rockconcern De ROTS, Antwerp Belgium. To build off the special evening of November 10th, where the band will shoot their first ever live DVD in Vosselaar, the show in Antwerp will be entirely acoustic, also a first for the band.

"There's always a list of songs in our catalog people ask to hear live, and we decided to try something a bit different, and play a different sort of set for the band," comments singer Paul Kuhr. "We will be performing the entire set, acoustically, and playing a large amount of songs we have never performed live before. We  wanted to make our short trip to Europe a special one, and with all the focus being on the DVD shoot, this acoustic evening will be a great time for us, also giving the fans something unique from the band."

NOVEMBERS DOOM will be recording their first live performance DVD to be released in early 2008 through THE END RECORDS

We chose to record at Biebob in Vosselaar, Belgium, simply because it was one of the greatest experiences we've had performing in the past. The crowd left a lasting impression on us, and we want to capture that, and share it with others on this DVD. We have been talking about recording for many years, and we always waited until the time when we could do this on our own terms, making it special for us, as well as the people who made us feel at home. Joining us for the first time is Ajattara from Finland. We're very excited they accepted the invitation, as their sound is a perfect compliment for the show. We're also being joined by old friends Thurisaz, who we have toured with in both Europe and The United States, making a special night for us even better!
